Call for papers
We are calling for papers for the XIV ACLES Conference Beyond Certification: university language centres facing a new generation of students. The topics chosen for this year are:
- Inclusion and diversity in teaching and assessment.
- Opportunities and challenges in the age of digital transformation and AI: teaching, assessment and translation.
- Motivation in the language classroom: Generation Z, a new type of learner?
- Critical intercultural awareness and its role in the future of language teaching.
- Language centres in the university of the future: visibility, strategic importance and their place in university policy.
- The role of language centres in the internationalisation of the curriculum, EMI etc.
- The role of language centres in university language policy.
- Teacher training.
The deadline for submission is 15 May 2025 and notification of acceptance will be from 30 May 2025. The proposal must follow the guidelines of the call for papers in the template which is downloadable.
